We can provide an employer's audit to ensure that the necessary systems and documentation are in place and compliant with the ever increasing regulations. Our team will advise on contracts of employment, disciplinary procedures, compromise agreements and a variety of other crucial issues and prepare suitable documentation. Often we are asked to advise whether a restrictive covenant is enforceable. It is crucial the clause is properly drafted and is specific to the business concerned. From the employers perspective, any breach needs to be pursued swiftly to give the best chance of success. We encourage our clients to seek advice at an early stage, since problems can often be avoided by preventive measures. We gladly offer urgent advice by phone. In the event of a terminal breakdown of the relationship between employer and employee, we regularly bring and defend claims for compensation before the Employment Tribunal, including claims for unfair dismissal, redundancy and discrimination. Our philosophy is to focus on dispute resolution by means of persuasion and negotiation, turning to litigation only as a last resort. Consequently, the vast majority of disputes are resolved by agreement rather than at the Employment Tribunal. Nonetheless, if a satisfactory outcome cannot be achieved by negotiation, we have the necessary experience and expertise to enable us to maximise the client's prospects of winning at the Tribunal. | ||||||||||||
